Hey Euler, What got your interested in Contortion to begin with?

I was terribly scared and fascinated with the Kooza Contortion act. When I first saw it in 2009.

How long have you been performing?

8 years now

What have been your biggest challenges as a performer?

To be in shape. Contortion is a full work of the whole body. So if you stop practicing for a couple of days or week, you for sure will feel it.

What advice would you give young people trying to get into performing?

Keep focused on your goals. Some things may take longer than your expectations and plans. But just keep working on it. Someday it will work right!

Do you have a coach currently?

Nah. Never had a coach.

Are you performing with a show or solo currently?

I’m working as Solo contortionist since 2012

What has been your biggest challenge as a contortionist?

I am self-taught artist since my very first split. Developing and discovering ways to gain more flexibility, strength, and control was the hardest part of all.

What is your biggest inspiration?

I used to have many inspirations previously. But not anymore. I use myself as a model of inspiration for always get better on what I am already doing or creating.

We asked some questions to Brazilian contortionist, Euler Kalebe who attended Arricirco (Arraial Intercultural de Circo do Recife) circus school in Recife. He’s a massive fan of Cirque du Soleil and even runs his own company making cirque inspired pop dolls!
