Janelle Peters is a queer contortionist, aerialist, circus coach, and psychotherapist. Originally from the SF Bay Area, Janelle has had the privilege of performing, teaching, and learning both within the United States and internationally. Their work encompasses various aspects, including performing, coaching, and raising awareness about mental health, all rooted in their dedication to the well-being and humanity of circus artists, students, and audiences.
In 2012, Janelle completed an apprenticeship with the PaperDoll Militia and became a valued member of the SF-Based Vespertine Circus. Online, they are recognized as Cirque_Psych, where they provide valuable insights into mental health, well-being, and the need for systemic change within the circus and performing arts communities.
