Bayarma Zodboeva started training contortion when she was ten years old in her hometown, the russian Republic of Buryatia. The sports teacher at the school saw she had some natural flexibility and that’s how it all began. Soon she was performing acrobatic gymnastics at school events and fell in love with the stage, the applause and the magic of live performance. Her parents then took her to a circus boarding school more than 800km from the village where she grew up.
